Neiren

House Neiren was a very strong house 70 years ago. A series of misfortunes, starting with the matron dying in the raid on mithril hall, led to its weakening to the point of being targeted by higher and lower houses alike. Yet, thanks to the ingenuity of the house's males, and the coming to power of its two eldest daughters, the house survived and is again relatively formidable.

The house has deep coffers which Feyllyn uses only miserly, instead drawing her chief income from the fungus farms around the isle of Rothe. The house also does a fair amount of trading with other parts of the underdark, but the profit is questionable.

Recently Matron Neiren decided to attempt to breed trolls, but most of them turned hostile on their keepers, leaving the house with 3 questionable specimins.

House Neiren has grown in favor and respect after Drisinil's ill-conceived, supposed, surface raid. General rumor has it that whatever Drisinil sought on the surface is in the possession of one of the Neiren sisters... how else does one explain why only members of house Neiren came back? The house also survived two separate attacks during the course of a tenday.

Attitude: The house is known to be edgy because of it's insecure position. Neiren sees enemies everywhere.
